Do you know of Google drive or have you
heard about it and you don't know what it
is all about, then this post is for you.
Google Drive is a file storage and
synchronization service developed by Google.
Launched on April 24, 2012, Google Drive
allows users to store files on their servers,
synchronize files across devices, and share
files.
Google Drive is currently being used by
offices, programmers, and schools. It makes
work easier, especially if you need to export
work to your device. You've already
uploaded a file to your Google Drive, but not
you have to download it to your computer.
Some Drive users may not know how to do
this, but with this article, you can easily
export your work and continue working on it.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD A FILE FROM GOOGLE
DRIVE TO YOUR DEVICE
Login to Google/Google Drive.
Locate the file you need to download to
your computer.
Most likely, if you have recently uploaded the
file to Drive, the file is in "Recent."
If someone has shared the file to you, it
should be in "Shared with you."
Right click on the desired file. You can
also click on it once and click on the "three-
dot menu" that appears. The menu should
be next to the Trash, Eye (preview), Person
(share), and Link, which have also appeared
after you clicked onto the file.
Click "Download". If you have right-clicked
onto the file, click on "Download". This
option should be below the menu that pops
up.
Choose the "three-dot menu". If you
have chosen to open the "three-dot menu,"
the "Download" option should also be below
it. Click on it to download.
Begin the download. After clicking on the
"Download" button, you should be able to
have options to your download.
For a faster download, keep your device
connected to the Internet (favorably, a strong
network).
Although shared files are scanned for viruses,
be careful when opening them. There still
might be a virus in it.
